History of the company
Prior to 1997, the proponents were employed as professionals in similar Industry.
In the year 1997, Mr. V. Manoharan, Mr. G. Ramadurai and, Mr. T. Titus Rajkumar, decided to start on their own and formed a partnership firm – named “M/s. Merit Engineering Systems” - for manufacturing and servicing of bulk material handling systems and equipments.
The rich experience of the partners in their chosen line of activity paid off handsomely and M/s. Merit Engineering Systems quickly established itself as a successful player in the market.
In the year 1998 the team was further strengthened with the induction of another industry veteran, Mr. M.N. Reddy, an Electronics Engineer with considerable experience in marketing and execution of Material Handling Systems.
In order to take advantage of the expanding market and to strengthen the organizational structure, the successful foursome formed Merit Technologies (India) Limited as a Public Limited Company on 1999. Till 31-3-2004, the Partnership and the Limited Company co-existed in the same line of business.
As a prudent measure of consolidation, the Partnership Firm was dissolved and its business was bought over by the Limited Company (MTIL) w.e.f. 1-4-2004.
Starting from a modest beginning, MTIL has come a long way to establish itself as a leading solution provider in the field of Bulk Material Handling with operations spread across the country.
The company has achieved impressive growth in turnover in the last year (almost 300% over the previous year) and poised to take off in a big way with a very healthy order book position
In addition to the four full time directors, the company has a team of well qualified, experienced and competent Top Management Team comprising of engineers and other professionals. The company has a work-force of 50 employees in direct employment and provides indirect employment to about 100 people.
